Home Tutoring.org.uk - Español
Home Tutoring.org.uk offers Spanish at all levels and for all ages. We use a range of resources to cater for individual needs and we do from conversational Spanish to teaching the grammatical structures of verbs and tenses. Tutoring can be done on an individual or very small group basis and always at a pace that is suitable for the student.
Following is an overview of the topics we cover at each level, and these are to suit the individual needs of the learner which means that grammar, writing, reading and listening will only be done if requested. Speech and general understanding are done as standard.

For the AS and A2 pupils we cover the following themes and topics, but will only focus on the specific topic area they are studying, and will help them prepare for all four areas of assessments - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Unit 1 - Spoken Expression and Response in Spanish. General Topic Areas of which students will choose one:
- Youth culture and concerns
- Lifestyle: health and fitness
- The world around us: travel, tourism, environmental
issues and the Spanish-speaking world
- Education and employment.

-
- Youth culture and concerns
- Lifestyle: health and fitness
- The world around us: travel, tourism, environmental issues and the Spanish-speaking world
- Education and employment
Unit 3 - Understanding and Spoken Response in Spanish:
Because students have a completely free choice of issue that does not need to relate to the culture and/or society of a Spanish-language country or community nor to any of the Edexcel general topic areas, we support each pupil with the topic that they have chosen in order to help them prepare for their Oral Assessment.
Unit 4 - Research, Understanding and Written Response in Spanish. General Topic Areas covered are:
- Youth culture and concerns
- Lifestyle: health and fitness
- The world around us: travel, tourism, environmental
issues and the Spanish-speaking world
- Education and employment
- Customs, traditions, beliefs and religions
- National and international events: past, present
and future
- Literature and the arts.
In addition to the above topics we also support students in their chosen
topic for the written assessment which is a research-based essay in
Spanish (240-270 words) that rewards students for Spanish-language research
skills linked to an area of interest to the student. This must relate
to the culture and/or society of a Spanish-language country, countries
or community, and students will need to draw on their knowledge and
understanding of this. They will have freedom to determine the content
of their research but it must relate to one of the following areas of
research:
a Geographical area
b Historical study
c Aspects of modern society
d Literature and the arts (eg text, play or film)
We then support each student in their chosen area.
